Maya Henderson is an author and illustrator from Warwick New York who loves creating stories that are funny, heartfelt, and relatable. She is the author and illustrator of Brainbow, her middle grade graphic novel debut. She is also the illustrator behind the first four books in the Neecy and Nay Nay series written by Simone Dankenbring & Syrone Harvey, and the forthcoming book History Comics: The Underground Railroad written by Francesca Lyn.

Eleven-year-old Rosie can sense colors— and she thought everyone else could, too. After the first meeting of her middle school’s math league ends in confusion, Rosie wonders why nobody seems to know that every letter, number, and song has a special hue of its own. Rosie befriends Yara, a lonely classmate who informs her that this condition has a name— synesthesia!
